Hello, and welcome. I appreciate you stopping by.
This site is really the story of my life as an artist, told through pictures.
I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember, and over the years that creativity has taken me in a lot of different directions—from drawing and painting to video games, creatures, sculpture, wood, Nutcrackers, abstract work and now AI. There are a lot of different styles here, but they’re all part of the same journey.
The more you work at art, the more you learn. Composition, light, color, perspective, anatomy, materials, technique, art history—and then, after a while, something interesting happens. All that learning gives you the confidence to start breaking the rules. You experiment. You try things you haven’t tried before. One medium begins influencing another.
I can see the textures from my landscape paintings showing up in my Nutcrackers. I see the line work from years of drawing portraits finding its way into my Creatures. Things I learned painting abstracts influence how I think about color. Decades spent creating video games and imaginary worlds inevitably find their way into almost everything.
Each category may look different, but I can still see myself in all of them.
Some of the work here goes back decades. Some of it I made recently. There are pieces created in studios, hotel rooms and on airplanes; paintings on canvas and wood; drawings on paper; things I’ve built, cut apart, painted, sculpted and put back together again. And now there are ideas created with technology I couldn’t possibly have imagined when I first started drawing.
Put together, it’s a pretty good record of where my imagination has taken me.
I hope you enjoy looking through it.
All I’ve ever really wanted to do is create stuff.
And I’m still doing it.
